Frequently asked questions
Clear answers before you check, verify, or act.
Learn how Cyber Desk, Trust Vault, Cyber Shield, plans, reports, and defensive guidance fit together.
The workspace
Cyber Desk and Cyber Agent
Understand what the core workspace checks and how to respond to a result.
What is United Tech Labs?
United Tech Labs is a defensive cybersecurity decision-support workspace. Cyber Desk helps people review suspicious links, messages, login pages, files, and payment requests before they act.
What can Cyber Desk check?
Cyber Desk can review suspicious links, emails, messages, websites, files, login pages, invoices, and payment requests. It returns risk context, warning signals, confidence, explanations, and recommended next steps.
Does United Tech Labs replace antivirus?
No. United Tech Labs provides defensive triage and decision support. Continue using reputable antivirus, device security, account security, banking controls, and qualified professional support.
What does Cyber Agent do?
Cyber Agent helps explain a result, answer follow-up questions, and organize practical recovery steps, checklists, and defensive guidance.
Can I use Cyber Desk after clicking a suspicious link?
Yes. Use the recovery and incident guidance workflows to organize immediate next steps, preserve useful evidence, and decide when to contact the provider, workplace IT, bank, or a qualified professional.
Are scans guaranteed to be safe or accurate?
No. A scan is decision support, not a guarantee of safety or a definitive fraud finding. Verify high-risk requests through a trusted independent channel.
Trust and payments
Trust Vault, OTP, and payment verification
Trust Vault helps compare trusted references. It does not replace your bank or payment provider.
What is Trust Vault?
Trust Vault stores trusted suppliers, contacts, domains, login pages, payment references, and related verification records so future requests can be compared for important changes.
Does Trust Vault process payments?
No. United Tech Labs does not hold money, move funds, or act as a bank or payment provider. Payments remain with the user's normal bank or payment provider.
Can I use a one-time payment link?
Where enabled for the workspace, a one-time request can use email OTP verification without permanently adding the recipient as a Trust Vault contact. Users should still verify payment details independently.
Can Business use second-person approval?
Business workflows can support second-person approval for higher-risk payment requests when that feature is enabled for the workspace. It adds a review step; it does not authorize or move money.
Does United Tech Labs ask for passwords or recovery phrases?
No. Do not submit passwords, recovery phrases, private keys, one-time codes, card numbers, or raw bank credentials. Remove secrets before submitting content for review.
Browser and recovery
Cyber Shield, recovery, and evidence
What is Cyber Shield?
Cyber Shield is the browser extension workflow for checking a current website, link, or selected content when the concern appears while browsing.
Can I save reports and history?
Eligible workspace plans can save investigation reports and history, review prior results, and use available export workflows. Access depends on the active plan and workspace permissions.
What are Lab Tools and Authorized Testing Evidence?
Lab Tools provide focused defensive workflows for links, domains, email, headers, files, readiness, and risk context. Authorized Testing Evidence workflows review imported evidence from systems the user owns or is permitted to assess; they do not run intrusive commands here.
Where can I get help for a serious incident?
Use the relevant provider's official recovery or support channel, contact workplace IT or your bank when appropriate, preserve evidence, and escalate serious incidents to qualified cybersecurity professionals.
Plans and access
Usage, teams, and billing
How do plan scan limits work?
Each plan has its own monthly check allowance and workspace features. The workspace applies the current entitlement and shows usage against the plan limit.
Can teams use United Tech Labs?
Business and eligible workspace plans support team-oriented workflows, shared context, seats, reports, and approval features according to the plan entitlement.
Can I try Cyber Desk for free?
Yes. The Free plan provides a limited number of Cyber Desk checks each month. A demo can also show the workflow without sending content or performing a live scan.
How do I cancel or downgrade a plan?
Use the account billing controls available in the workspace or contact support for help. Cancellation and downgrade timing follow the active billing provider and plan terms.
Who can see workspace records?
Access is controlled by authentication, workspace membership, staff permissions, and plan entitlements. Administrators should grant access only to people who need it.
